Summer Preparations

As a caterer and event planner, I often am asked the question... "When is your busiest season?". I'm sure many other Florida-based Event Professionals, would agree that when you answer - it's not "summer", that most people are a little surprised. I could never speak for anyone else in my industry, but I surely can say that in the last ten years in which I have catered in Tampa, that Summer time is Slow Time... And I LOVE IT!! While most people are escaping the summer's heat, I have a little quiet time to prepare for my Fall and Winter events.

For a caterer in Florida, summer is the best time to get organized, start thinking ahead, and if we are lucky... it is also a great time to take a little break for ourselves to visit family and friends or just get away for a little peace and quiet!

This summer I plan to do all of the above. But I am excited to say that one of my business-related adventures for the summer involves planning the Grand Opening of the "Apple Blossoms Wedding Center". The Wedding Center is a much needed venue in the Tampa Bay area that will provide wedding planners and future brides and "one stop shop" to get answers to all of their questions. The Wedding Center will offer direction from industry professionals, ranging from Talented Florist, Photographers, Cake Designers, Caterers, Musicians, and More!!.
